Today, I embarked on yet another journey, this time to Indianapolis, Indiana. As I looked into the eyes of my dear lady friend, we exchanged our usual farewell. It’s never really a goodbye between us, but rather a “see you later.”
Now, any vehicle can be temperamental, regardless of its make or model. But driving a skoolie, especially for long distances, has its unique set of challenges. For a while, I’ve been battling a persistent coolant leak. I’ve learned to navigate this hiccup, but recently I’ve noticed it becoming more of a concern. Before setting off on this trip, I made sure to top off the coolant, ensuring that I’d be prepared for whatever the road ahead might bring.
Hours of open highways and vibrant landscapes later, I found myself in Indianapolis. It was there that I met another fellow TikToker, @comrade_sinque. As we caught up, I couldn’t help but notice the skoolie’s leak had worsened. Puddles of coolant now lay ominously beneath her.
Enter Crystal, one of my trusted moderators and a true friend. Despite facing her own challenges, she took the time to assist me, helping locate a nearby mechanic. It’s moments like these that make you realize the depth of true friendship. No matter the storms she was weathering in her own life, she was there for me.
Now, with the skoolie diagnosed, the only thing left is to schedule the repairs. But for the time being, @comrade_sinque and I were ready to explore the city. He played tour guide, leading me to some delicious local eateries and showing me the vibrant heart of Indianapolis.
Tomorrow holds the promise of music and memories as we’re set to attend the Kevin Gates concert. The anticipation is evident, but tonight, fatigue wraps around me like a cozy blanket. After a long day of driving, newfound worries, and the warm embrace of genuine friendships, it’s time to hit the hay.
