Leaving Branson behind, the open road led me to Springfield, MO. The destination was more than just a pin on the map—it was an opportunity. There, I met up with another dedicated follower of the ‘I Will Rise Journey’, @justinreed626. Our rendezvous was more than just a meet-up, it was a soulful confluence of two adventurers crossing paths. Amidst our conversations, the cafe around us faded into the background, leaving just the two of us, sharing stories, dreams, and aspirations.
The life coach in me always finds a way to surface, especially in the company of someone so open and eager to embrace life. Offering Justin some words of advice felt natural, and seeing his eyes light up with understanding was a reward in itself. There’s an unmatched joy in lifting others, and I’m grateful for every such moment.
But adventures aren’t always about the adrenaline rush or the thrill of the unknown. After bidding Justin farewell, I set my compass towards St. Louis, MO. Once I arrived, the weight of the journey, both literal and emotional, took its toll. Adventure, as exhilarating as it is, can sometimes drain you. And that’s okay.
That day, I realized that the essence of a journey doesn’t lie in how far you go, but in understanding when to take a pause. Finding a nearby Planet Fitness, I reveled in the luxury of freshening up. Days without a shower make you appreciate the simplest comforts! Sure, my skoolie might not have a shower yet, but that’s just part of the story. Adventure has taught me to appreciate both the grandeur of a mountain and the simple pleasure of a warm shower.
So, dear readers, if there’s one thing you take away from this chapter of my journey, let it be this: Embrace adventure with all your heart, but never underestimate the power of rest. It’s in these quiet moments that we reflect, recharge, and dream of the roads yet to be traveled.
Make sure to keep an eye on www.iwillriseandyouwilltoo.org as our journey continues. Hannibal, MO awaits, and who knows what tales it holds?
Stay tuned, stay adventurous, and always remember to find your balance on the open road
